Guilford Parents: What You Need To Know About Teen Mental Health
Hoping many parents attend, a March 30 Zoom will have GHS social workers, and some students, share insights on teen mental health struggles.
GUILFORD, CT — Students themselves have known that mental health issues are health issues and need to be addressed. Last year, a group of students were able to create a Guilford High School club devoted to raising awareness, providing help and support for teens who are struggling.
On March 30, Guilford High School Connections will bring school social workers to answer questions about teen mental health. They will be joined by students from the Mental Health Awareness Alliance to "provide insights into the teen perspective."
"They are looking forward to having a frank and honest conversation about what teens are experiencing now and how we as parents and adults can help them," per the GHS Connections event page.
