Guilford Planning Landscape Improvements To Town Hall

GUILFORD, CT — The Guilford Board of Selectmen last week voted to contract with a local landscape architect to come up with a plan to beautify the area in front of Town Hall.

According to minutes associated with the meeting, First Selectman Matt Hoey noted the front entrance area of Town Hall "is an eyesore and in need of attention."

John Cunningham, a local landscape architect who has done work for the town in the past, will put design concepts together to see what can be done for the front area and Town Hall South, according to meeting minutes.

It was noted during the meeting that a potential cost of $4,500 for the work does not include plant material.

Selectman Charles Havrda suggested keeping recommendations to low-maintenance items, according to the meeting minutes.
