Guilford Police Animal Control Rescue Baby Skunk

The skunk found itself stuck in a school's courtyard and in stepped the animal control staff.

Sometimes, we have to think outside the box in animal control work! When a baby skunk found himself stuck in a courtyard at Adams, we didn't want to carry him out through the halls with the kids. So a have-a-heart trap was left in the courtyard and after the skunk went in, we got creative.

The little guy was safely tucked in a large bucket (trap and all) and air lifted up and over the roof to safety. He was released safe and sound way out behind the school where he ran off into the woods! (Don't worry, no children touched him and he appeared normal and healthy)
