Guilford Police To Host 'Cones With A Cop' Event
The event aims to bring the community and its police officers closer together.
GUILFORD, CT — The public is invited to join the Guilford Police Department for a sweet treat and to meet the officers who serve the community.
The department will host "Cones With A Cop" on Aug. 19 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Ashley's Ice Cream, 942 Boston Post Road.
Similar to nationwide Coffee With A Cop gatherings, the event aims to bring the community and its police officers closer together.

"Stop by and ask questions, have a conversation, meet some of the officers who serve our community, and of course enjoy some delicious ice cream. You can also pick up some cool GPD swag while you’re there!" Guilford police said in an announcement.
Additionally, the first 50 children through the door will receive a free kid's cone.
