Guilford Police To Host Conversation On Internet Safety
The event is free and for adults only, and will take place at the Guilford Community Center.

GUILFORD, CT — The Guilford Police Department will host a conversation for parents on internet safety on April 23 at the Guilford Community Center. The event will run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
"Do you know how many ways strangers can access your children on electronic devices throughout the day? Do you know about the hidden apps and game servers that can give unfettered access to your kids? How seemingly harmless games designed for kindergartners have pop up adds and links that are designed to expose and entice children to images no child should see or be exposed to? Does your child have social media apps set to public?" Guilford police said on Facebook.
"Unfortunately, the world is filled with predators who are looking to find child victims online and Guilford children are not immune to these types of cases. Our goal is to help educate parents, grandparents and guardians to help prevent these crimes before they happen. Let’s start the conversation and help keep our kids safe."
