Guilford Police Officers Leaning How To Salsa Dance For A Cause

GUILFORD, CT — Guilford police officers Gingras and Lall will be Dancing for the Cause for the Raise the Roof Foundation Gala. Over the next few weeks, they'll be taking Salsa lessons in an effort to support this amazing program for those in need, police wrote on social media.

“Raise the Roof is honored to introduce the stars who will dance in our eighth annual Gala of Stars: Dancing for the Cause," police posted on Facebook.

Raise the Roof defines stars as community leaders passionate about making the world a better place. This group of stars accepted our invitation to step onto the dance floor to help provide families with the opportunities to build and own safe, affordable homes.

The stars are learning choreographed ballroom routines during ten private lessons provided by Arthur Murray Guilford, Raise the Roof’s Event Partner. The dancing stars will perform on Friday, November 4 at Raise the Roof’s Gala of Stars: Dancing for the Cause at The WoodWinds of Branford. The stars are competing for "votes" (dollars = votes) and their dancing is raising funds for future Raise the Roof sponsored Habitat houses, helping families build and own homes. The dancing couple that receives the most "votes" will win the grand-prize Shoreline Stars trophy! The voting begins now! Donate here to vote. Voting will remain open through the gala performances.”
