Guilford Police Preparing For Special Olympics Connecticut Torch Run

GUILFORD, CT — The Guilford Police Department is getting ready for the Connecticut Law enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Connecticut.

The torch is expected to be at the Guilford town line with Madison around 12 p.m. on Friday on Boston Post Road, Guilford police said on Facebook.

Athletes and officers will run to the Branford Town line on Boston Post Road and arrive around 1:25 p.m.

"Plan ahead if you want to avoid traffic delays on southbound Route 1," police said. "BUT…. If you want to cheer us all on… you know where to find us! We would love to see the community support of Guilford’s Special Olympic Athletes and Guilford’s Officers!"
