Police Reunite Lost Dog With Owner: Guilford PD

Police said they found a large dog wandering in town Thursday morning.

GUILFORD, CT — The Guilford Police Department has successfully found the owner of a lost dog who was found wandering in town Thursday morning.

Around 9:30 a.m., police found a Great Pyrenees taking a walk in the area of Sugarbush Lane and Route 80.

"As you can see, he was super excited to take a ride in the back of Officer McCain’s patrol car," police said in a Facebook post.

Police did not have a name for the dog, but they called him "Pierre the Great Pyrenees."

It turns out the dog's name is Rascal.
