Guilford Police Warn Residents to Be Vigilant in Wake of Recent Car Break-Ins

GUILFORD, CT – Police said they received at least 10 reports of unlocked vehicles being entered overnight in the condominium complex at 274 Church Street.

All vehicle owners reported change had been stolen, according to a post on the department's Facebook page. A vehicle on Fair Street also had a window smashed out and a purse stolen from the front seat overnight.

Police remind residents to secure their vehicles when left unattended and to make sure valuable items are not in plain sight. Vehicles should also be parked in well lit areas with motion lights when possible.
