Real Estate Agent From Guilford Named NHMR Realtor Of The Year

GUILFORD, CT —Dawn Calvo, CEO of the New Haven Middlesex Association of REALTORS® announced that Jed Backus was named the NHMR REALTOR of the Year for 2022.

Backus was recognized at the Association’s annual Trade Show held at the Association’s headquarters on Boston Post Road in Guilford.

Backus is a REALTOR® with Backus Real Estate of Hamden. His extensive Association involvement includes serving as President of NHMR Board of Directors for 2020 and 2021 and helping the Association and its Members navigate their way through the pandemic. Backus currently sits on the National Association of Realtors Commercial Federal Policy Committee, CT Realtors Board of Directors and Region 4 Vice President. He is also on the Board of Directors of the NHMR Commercial Investment Division, where he served as a past Chairman. He also served as an NAR Director in 2020 and 2021.

Backus resides in Guilford and has volunteered time and resources in the community, and has provided mentorship to early-career agents. He has exemplified both, through his dedication and professionalism, what it means to be a leader in this field.
