Guilford To Receive Over $120K In State Aid
Guilford is slated to receive additional state education and municipal funding, according to an announcement from Gov. Ned Lamont's office.
GUILFORD, CT — Guilford is expected to receive increased state funding for education and municipal aid under fiscal year 2027 budget adjustment legislation recently approved by the Connecticut General Assembly.
According to figures released by Gov. Ned Lamont's office, Guilford is slated to receive an additional $70,644 in supplemental education aid and $52,719 in supplemental town aid.
The governor's office said the increased funding for CT municipalities is intended to help towns and school districts close budget gaps without raising property taxes. The funding is aimed at supporting local school operations and municipal services while easing pressure on town finances.
