The single biggest issue in town is ______, and I plan to do this about it:
A lack of honesty, transparency, and and focus. I would examine all materials related to curriculum. The results would be made available to the public. Some subjects are currently severely lacking in content and context.
Critical differences between me and my opponents:
Honesty, enthusiasm, and and genuine compassion. I have Guilford school children. Most of them do not. I am not a political animal. They are. I believe in meritocracy. They do not. They tend to be lazy and do not even know what is happening in school or what resources are being distributed. I have asked them and they admitted as much.
Accomplishments:
Degree in special education and obtained my certification. 18 years teaching DARE in GPS system. Guilford Police Union Secretary. Recognized by the Connecticut State Legislature for Excellence in Working with Children. YMCA Strong Kids Builder Award.
Other issues:
Fiscal responsibility. Respect for all parents and all concerns. Safety and mental health concerns. I am disappointed, following a difficult year, and that other issues have been allowed to push this to the back.
What else would you like voters to know about you?
I will always treat you with the respect you deserve. I will be a voice for you when you feel no one is listening. No child will be made to feel like a victim or that they can't succeed.
