Guilford resident named Citizens Bank New Connecticut President
Veteran banker will lead Citizens' engagement with civic, business and community leaders
Citizens Bank today announced the appointment of Senior Vice President and Connecticut Head of Middle Market Banking Lisa Maass as its new Connecticut state president.
As Connecticut state president, Maass will lead Citizens’ engagement with civic, business and community leaders across the state. She will retain responsibility for corporate banking in the state.
“We are very pleased to name Lisa Maass as our new state president in Connecticut,” said Bruce Van Saun, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “As an experienced banker who has made important contributions to the success of our commercial bank, Lisa brings considerable leadership skills that will benefit both our Connecticut customers and the broader Connecticut community.”

“I am looking forward to serving as state president in Connecticut,” Maass said. “Citizens has a strong and growing presence in Connecticut and I am honored by this opportunity to serve the community and to continue to deliver excellent service to our Connecticut customers.”
Maass, who joined Citizens Bank from Connecticut Bank and Trust in 1994, has led corporate banking throughout Connecticut for Citizens since 2011. She is also a member of Citizens Bank’s Executive Leadership Group.

A graduate of Wheaton College, Maass has been actively involved in the community for many years, serving on the boards of a number of organizations including the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce. She currently serves on The Connecticut Food Bank development committee and is a founding board member of Read to Grow.
