GUILFORD, CT — A Guilford resident is now $100,000 richer thanks to some luck and the Connecticut Lottery.

The resident won the big money prize after playing CASH5, a parimutuel game with a top prize of $100,000. Drawings occur nightly at approximately 10:29 p.m., the CT Lottery website notes. The game costs $1 per wager.

According to the CT Lottery, the winning ticket was purchased from Express Fuels & Food Mart, located at 25 Mill Plain Road in Danbury.

The CT Lottery furnishes winner information as public record. Only the names of people who win $10,000 or more are published.
