Guilford Runners Capture Harry Geraghty Invitational Title

The Indian boys team easily outdistanced runnerup South Windsor Saturday.

VERNON, CT — Guilford placed five boys in the top 16 finishers to cruise to victory in the fifth annual Harry Geraghty Invitational cross country meet at Rockville High School Saturday.

The Indians compiled 26 points to win the boys varsity large school division, handily defeating runnerup South Windsor, which had 56.

Senior Finn Davidson was the first overall finisher, completing the 3.1 mile course in 15:51. Fellow senior Josh Stern was third, while Rafael Siciliano (12th), Will Smith (13th), Elijah Dillon (16th) and Will Dinauer (20th) also had Top 20 finishes.

The late Harry Geraghty coached high school cross country for nearly 40 years, including many at Rockville. He passed away in 2011.
