Guilford School Bus Routes For 2018-19 School Year Released

GUILFORD, CT — Bus Routes for the 2018-19 School year have now been posted for each school in Guilford on the Public Schools website.

2018-19 Bus Routes

· Infofinder Tool: Student bus assignments including bus number, bus stop location and times for both the morning pick up and afternoon drop off will now be accessed by using the Infofinder tool of the district’s new Routefinder bus scheduling program. Afternoon drop off times have been included for the first time this year. Please understand that these times are still estimates as afternoon schedules vary for many students which impact our bus routes.

Please visit Infofinder to view individual student bus information. Instructions are included in the opening bulletin to this site. If the bulletin does not pop up, it may be accessed in the upper left corner of the Infofinder page. You may also reach the Infofinder site at the following address: www.infofinderi.com. Email is preferred, but phone calls are welcome.When emailing or leaving a message, please be sure to include your child’s name, school, current bus stop and bus number, your name, a number where you may be reached, and a brief description of your issue. We will get back to you as soon as possible. For urgent bus issues, if Mr. Dorwin is not available, please contact the bus company at (203) 533-7852.

· Before and After School Care Transportation for Middle School Students: Middle school students attending the before and after school care programs in our schools will take the following buses to/from their middle school:

AW Cox: Bus 16

Calvin Leete: Bus 4

Guilford Lakes: Bus 13

Melissa Jones: Bus 10

· Special Requests: Special transportation requests must be submitted each year. Please use the Request for Transportation To/From Non Home Address form. These requests will not be implemented until they have been approved by the transportation coordinator and you have been informed when the arrangements will begin. Until that occurs, families need to make their own arrangements.

· Courtesy Stops: Courtesy bus stops to the town green, Guilford Free Library, area churches, private lessons etc. cannot be considered until all the bus routes are refined and accurate ridership numbers are available. This may not be until the end of September. Schools will be informed when this service may be provided and which buses will be used.

· ECA: Guilford High School students attending the Educational Center for the Arts in New Haven will be transported from GHS at 12:10pm and returned to the high school at approximately 4:30. The specifics of this route are not available on the Infofinder i site. For afternoon drop-off times, please contact the bus company.

· Bus Stop Reviews: If you have a concern about the bus stop that has been assigned to your student, you must complete the Bus Stop Review form and submit it electronically to the transportation coordinator. These reviews will all be given serious consideration after all students have been assigned transportation. Please do not leave voice mail for these reviews.

· Sound School, Vinal Tech, VoAg, and Our Lady of Mercy: Students attending these schools are provided transportation but they are not assigned through the Routefinder program. These students will be contacted by the bus company with the details of their transportation.

· Any questions regarding students receiving transportation services through Pupil Services should be directed to Karen Tamulis, Administrative Assistant, Pupil Services at tamulisk@guilfordschools/org or at 203-458-0001 prompt 4, ext 1.
