Guilford Schools Say No To Plastic Straws
In 2014, Guilford became one of the first districts in the state to stop using Styrofoam lunch trays and all Styrofoam products.
GUILFORD, CT — Guilford school officials announced that beginning after spring break, GPS Dining Services will provide paper straws, on request, and eliminate all plastic straws.
Juice boxes that come with plastic straws will be replaced with juice cartons. This decision supports the district's continuing effort to reduce the use of materials harmful to the environment, officials said.
