Guilford Seeks Feedback On Temporary Curb Extensions

GUILFORD, CT — Guilford officials are seeking feedback on temporary curb extensions around the Green as they consider whether to install permanent versions.

An online survey on the temporary curb extensions was launched this week.

"You may have noticed white posts and painted areas in the roads around the Green. These are temporary curb extensions, or bump-outs, installed as a demonstration project to test how permanent versions would function at the crosswalks," the survey introduction says.

The temporary extensions are made from paint, tape and bollards. According to the town, the permanent bump-outs would feature "standard streetscape materials" such as curb, concrete, pavers, and asphalt with pavement markings and signage.
