Guilford Seeks Volunteers For 250th Celebration Committee

GUILFORD, CT — The Town of Guilford is seeking volunteers to serve on a local 250th celebration committee.

In 2026, the United States will mark the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and the founding of the country.

Rather than planning a single commemorative event, the America 250 | CT Commission is encouraging those around the state to "make meaning of this anniversary in their own way."

Local committees will be in charge of planning events for the anniversary celebration.

Those interested can fill out the form at this link and return it to the Guilford Selectmen's Office.
