Guilford Selectmen To Consider Charter Revision Process, Transfer Station Repairs & More At Upcoming Meeting
Here's what's on the agenda for the next Guilford Board of Selectmen meeting.

GUILFORD, CT — The Guilford Board of Selectmen is scheduled to meet Monday, Feb. 2, at 8:30 a.m. at Town Hall, 31 Park St., in a hybrid session with an in-person meeting and virtual Zoom access, to consider potential repairs to town infrastructure, the initiation of a charter revision process and several appointments to boards and commissions.
Among the items on the agenda, the selectmen are expected to discuss and take possible action on a resolution to initiate a charter revision under Connecticut General Statutes Section 7-188(a), a process that could lead to proposed changes to the town’s governing document and structure.
The board is also scheduled to discuss and take possible action to approve repairs to the scale house at the Guilford–Madison Waste Transfer Station, a facility used for municipal solid waste operations.

In another policy matter, selectmen may set a special town meeting to consider a resolution that would “sunset” several resolutions adopted at a 1961 special town meeting upon passage of a road classification ordinance.
The agenda also includes a presentation by the D.A.Y. Coalition regarding the Deterra medication disposal program for municipal buildings, which is intended to address safe disposal of unused prescription drugs.
