Guilford Selectmen To Review Possible Fire Training Equipment Purchase, Police Cleaning Contract
Here's a preview of the upcoming Guilford Board of Selectmen meeting.

GUILFORD, CT — The Guilford Board of Selectmen is scheduled Monday to consider approving the purchase of new Fire Department training equipment and awarding a cleaning services contract for the Guilford Police Station and Animal Shelter.
The meeting is set for 8:30 a.m. Monday, May 18, at 31 Park St. and will include both in-person and remote participation through Microsoft Teams.
Selectmen are expected to discuss and possibly act on a request from the Guilford Fire Department to purchase training equipment from Firehouse Innovations LI, LLC.

The board also is scheduled to consider awarding a bid for cleaning services at the Guilford Police Station and Animal Shelter to Performance Environmental.

Board members additionally are expected to receive a presentation on the results of the 2026 SEARCH Survey.
The agenda also includes review and possible approval of April 2026 town government expenditures, including financial reports, warrants and a medical report.
Under appointments and resignations, the selectmen are scheduled to consider elevating Todd Fanciullo to regular membership on the Public Works Commission, appointing Buster Scranton to the Land Acquisition Commission and reappointing Amanda Popplewell Pena to the Board of Assessment Appeals.
The board also is expected to review requests for use of town property, including a request from the Hyland House Museum to place a sign on the Green advertising “Fife & Drums to Jazz” and a request from the Guilford Conservation Commission to use the Green for an Earth Day celebration in April 2027.
