Guilford Special Education PTO (SEPTO) Receives State Recognition

GUILFORD, CT — Guilford SEPTO was presented with the ‘Spirit of SEPTO’ award by the CT Special Education PTO Alliance for actively supporting the advancement of students with disabilities.

Guilford SEPTO (Special Education Parent Teacher Organization) was presented with the ‘Spirit of SEPTO’ award by the CT Special Education PTO Alliance at the September Board of Education meeting. Each year this award is presented to individuals and groups who actively support the advancement of students with disabilities. Guilford SEPTO was founded in 2017 to create collaborative relationships between Guilford Public Schools, families of individuals with disabilities and the community through support, education, and empowerment.

“The founders of Guilford SEPTO are entirely deserving of this award and are recognized for their hard work this past year in supporting our children. For all you do, the Connecticut SEPTO Alliance is honored to present this ‘Spirit of SEPTO’ Award to Guilford SEPTO. The children of Guilford are fortunate to have you behind them,” stated Kevin Daly, Chair of the CT SEPTO Alliance.
