Guilford Student Awarded Connex Credit Union College Scholarship
There are four 2022 Connex Credit Union scholarship winners, and Guilford High School senior Natalie Bryan is one of them.

GUILFORD, CT — Connex Credit Union has awarded four Connecticut high school students $8,000 in scholarships for college, and Guilford High School senior Natalie Bryan is one of them.
Bryan is the first ever recipient of the $2,000 Dave F. Clark Arts & Music Scholarship. This scholarship is named after one of Connex’s longest serving Board members with 55 years of volunteer service. The scholarship is awarded to a student majoring in Arts or Music.
Connex’s scholarship program is part of its larger philanthropic effort, ConnexCares.

A Guilford High School senior, Bryan has been a Principal Cellist at Shoreline Youth Orchestras, Guilford High Public School Ensembles, CMEA All-State Festival and CMEA Southern Region Festival. She was awarded the Shoreline Youth Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition, Neighborhood Music School Merit Award with Honors in Performance, GHS Musical Achievement Award, as well as the Guilford High School Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition. Her academic accomplishments include National Honor Society.
Applications were accepted through March 18, 2022, and were available for college-bound or enrolled students. To qualify, students had to submit a short writing assignment as well as have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. They also had to be a Connex Credit Union member – or have someone in their family as a member – and be in good standing as of Dec. 31, 2021.

“Connex is deeply committed to the betterment of the communities we serve,” EVP, Chief Operating Officer Carl Casper said. “Helping young people with the expenses associated with college is aligned with our mission, and Connex is thrilled and proud to support these students with their next steps.”
