Guilford Announces Latest Employee Recognition Award Winner

The award program started by First Selectman Matt Hoey recognizes town employees for outstanding achievement and performance.

GUILFORD, CT — First Selectman Matt Hoey has announced that Guilford Youth and Family Services Director Lyne Landry has been named as a recipient of the Guilford Employee Recognition Award.

Hoey, who initiated the program, has encouraged all employees to nominate fellow employees to be recognized for outstanding achievement and performance in their work.

The Employee Recognition Awards Committee selected Landry, who was nominated by Guilford Fire Capt. Clint Haverkampf.

Haverkampf nominated Landry for her role in Guilford receiving money through Rep. Rosa DeLauro's Office to upgrade Guilford’s public safety radio communication system.

Landry helped navigate the grants process while juggling her regular duties for Guilford Youth and Family Services.

"Lyne was always professional and positive, while going out of her way, to make sure the grant was successful. Collaboration between departments is an essential piece of town government. Lyne exemplifies professionalism, performance, leadership and positivity and therefore deserves an Employee Recognition Award," Haverkampf said in a news release.

Landry has been with the Town of Guilford since 2007. She received an Employee Recognition Award certificate as well as a gift card and a Ninja Blender from Hoey in recognition of her achievements.
