Guilford's 2024 Budget Referendum Results Released
Guilford voters hit the polls on Tuesday for this year's budget referendum.

GUILFORD, CT — Guilford voters on Tuesday rejected the proposed fiscal year 2024-2025 budget at referendum, with 1,300 residents voting for the $119,080,224 spending plan, and 1,688 voting against, according to results posted by the town. The bonding question passed by a vote of 1,749 to 1,235.
The proposed budget featured $47,123,073 for the town, and $71,957,151 for the Board of Education.
Overall, the voter turnout for Tuesday was 18.4 percent, the town's results show.

During the town vote to move the budget to a referendum on April 2, a motion to reduce the town budget by $1,024,048 failed. A motion to reduce the Board of Education budget by $3.49 million also failed.
