Results Announced For Guilford Budget Referendum Vote
Guilford residents hit the polls on Tuesday to vote on the proposed 2025-2026 budget and two bonding authorization requests.

GUILFORD, CT — The proposed $122.5 million budget for fiscal year 2026 and two bond authorization requests passed at referendum in Guilford on Tuesday, according to results released by the town.
The spending plan passed by a vote of 2,126 in favor and 1,342 opposed.
One bonding authorization request, which appropriates just over $1.9 million for building improvements, equipment upgrades, and design services for future projects at town school facilities, passed with 2,2286 in favor and 1,172 opposed.

The other request appropriates just over $2.3 million for town road and facility improvements, and equipment upgrades/replacement for the fire and public works departments. The measure passed by a vote of 2,281 against 1,176.
It took just one referendum this year to pass a budget. Last year, Guilford voters hit the polls twice after the first referendum failed.
