Guilford's Football Coach Resigns: Report

The coach recently informed the team of his decision.

GUILFORD, CT — Guilford's Head Football Coach Mike Eagle has resigned his position after two seasons and a win loss record of 5 and 15, reports Joe Morelli, of GameTimeCT.

Eagle, who lives in Guilford, told Morelli that the decision to resign was 100 percent his and he wasn't forced into it. The entire coaching staff won't return either. The coach informed his players at a recent team meeting.

Guilford school officials are already advertising for a new coach. Eagle does want to coach again, Morelli reports.
