Hair Cuttery Celebrates Grand Opening of New Salon with Ribbon Cuttery Ceremony
New full-service, value-priced salon arrives at Guilford Commons.
Hair Cuttery celebrated the grand opening of its newest salon in Guilford, CT on Thursday, January 12th with a ribbon cutting ceremony officiated by Selectman Joe Mazza. The new salon is located at 1919 Boston Post Road in the Guilford Commons.

As part of the grand opening festivities, Hair Cuttery teamed up with Roses for Autism. From November 20th to December 18th, five percent of all proceeds from the new salon were donated to the charity. A check for $609.35 was presented to Susan Dunkerley-Squier from Roses for Autism at the ribbon cutting ceremony.

“As we open our newest salon in Guilford, we are thrilled to be providing jobs and services to people in the Guilford area,” said Dennis Ratner, founder and CEO of Hair Cuttery. “Our goal is to bring value and style to the entire family through our services and products,” said Ratner. “We are a family-owned business and feel it’s important to serve as a community partner and support local charities and causes that impact our neighbors,” said Ratner. “We look forward to continuing our efforts to be an active participant in the Guilford community.”
Hair Cuttery has an established legacy of charitable support. For the past 18 years, it has sponsored Share a Haircut, a national charitable campaign aimed at giving free back-to-school haircuts to children in need as well as haircuts for the homeless, victims of domestic violence, and veterans. Through partnerships with local social service agencies, Hair Cuttery has donated more than 2.01 million free haircuts since the program’s inception in 1999. Hair Cuttery salons also support local charities and community causes through cut-a-thons and donations.
