The survey, which will help GFD become an accredited agency, measures performance, citizen safety concerns and firefighter professionalism.

GUILFORD, CT — The Guilford Fire Department is currently conducting its initial citizen satisfaction survey in order to become an accredited agency.
The goals of the survey are:
- To measure overall department performance
- To measure citizens’ perception of the firefighters’ attitudes, behaviors, and professionalism
- To measure levels of citizen concerns for safety
- To provide an opportunity for the public to make suggestions for improvement
In its message to the community about the survey, the fire department said it "values the opinions of those it serves and welcomes any input citizens can provide that may help it improve as an organization."
