Here Are The End-Of-Season Beach Hours In Guilford

Guilford has announced the hours at Jacobs Beach and Lake Quonnipaug ahead of Labor Day Weekend.

GUILFORD, CT — The Guilford Parks and Recreation Department has announced the final hours for beach operations in town.

Jacobs Beach will be open daily from dawn to dusk, and gate guards will be checking passes from Aug. 31-Sept. 2 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be no lifeguards on duty.

At Lake Quonnipaug, the schedule will be as follows:

  • Aug. 29, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Aug. 30, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Aug. 31, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Sept. 1, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Sept. 2, closed

"The Department thanks all lifeguards and gate guards who worked this summer and ensured patrons were safe and able to enjoy wonderful Guilford facilities!" Parks and Rec. said in an announcement.
