Here's A Preview Of The Guilford Planning & Zoning Commission's Upcoming Meeting

GUILFORD, CT — The Guilford Planning & Zoning Commission is scheduled to consider several projects across town during its upcoming meeting scheduled for Feb. 4.

The commission will hold a virtual public hearing and regular meeting at 6 p.m. via Zoom, where members are expected to consider a special permit application for 236 Church St.

The applicant is seeking to modify accessory dwelling unit provisions, including adding a detached ADU for a dual-family dwelling and increasing interior finished floor area, according to the agenda. The item is listed under public hearings and deliberations.

Also scheduled under public hearings and deliberations is a special permit request at 1470 County Road to enlarge an existing nonconforming structure, and a proposal at 1509 Little Meadow Road to subdivide a parcel into two lots under the town’s subdivision regulations.

Under site plan reviews, the commission is slated to review an application for a new single-family residence at 28 Rockledge Circle that includes both a site plan and coastal site plan review for a replacement home.

Another item involves 415, 417 and 439 Boston Post Road, where applicants on behalf of the APT Foundation are seeking site plan approval for a new garage and a new office building.

In administrative business, the commission is expected to receive an update on the town’s Plan of Conservation and Development and consider approval of minutes from its Jan. 7 meeting.
