Hoey Wins Greater New Haven Chamber's Legislative Leadership Award

GUILFORD, CT —Guilford First Selectman Matthew Hoey was recently honored with the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce 2022 Legislative Leadership Award. The chamber represents 15 greater New Haven towns/cities.

The Chamber award recognized Hoey's many roles not only as First Selectman, but also for his involvement with Tweed New Haven Airport, the South Central Regional Council of Governments, and the Connecticut Conference of Municipalities, to name a few.

In 2019, he served as the interim executive director of the Tweed New Haven Airport Authority, an unpaid position. Hoey sits on the Connecticut Conference of Municipalities Board of Directors. And he's chair of the SCRCOG Board of Officers and head of its executive and other committees.
