How To Congratulate & Cheer Guilford High School Class Of 2020
Beginning at around 5 p.m. Wednesday, graduates and their families will be led by Guilford Police Department in a procession through town.

GUILFORD, CT — The Guilford High School Class of 2020 will have its commencement Wednesday at the Guilford Fairgrounds.
Beginning at approximately 5 p.m., graduates and their families will be led by Guilford Police Department in a procession from the high school on New England Road, down Long Hill Road, left on Hubbard Road, right onto Route 77 and Church Street, past the Guilford Green on Park Street, turning left on Boston Street, and right on Lovers Lane to the fairgrounds.
Spectators are encouraged along the route, but must wear face masks and space by at least 6 feet apart.

Once at the fairgrounds, each vehicle will be directed to an assigned parking space where they can enjoy the commencement exercises parked safely 6-feet apart. Please note that only the graduates and their families will be able to enter the fairgrounds.
Guilford Public Schools will be live-streaming the ceremony on YouTube for community members to view. A link to the YouTube live stream will be posted on this website before Wednesday.

Commencement exercises will begin at 6:00pm. Speeches by students and dignitaries will be delivered from the town’s band shell with only one person at a time on the stage. Audio for the graduates and their families will be received via FM transmission in each vehicle. All in attendance will remain in their cars. Graduates will be directed by row to exit their vehicles, stand 6 feet apart, wearing masks while awaiting their name to be called. Each graduate will proceed one at a time across the stage and be recognized. They will then return to their cars for the remainder of the ceremony.

Please do not attempt to go to the fairgrounds. This event has been carefully planned to ensure a memorable and also safe experience for graduates and their families.
