Kayaker From Orange Who Drowned In Lake Quonnipaug Identified: Report
The 33-year-old Orange man who drowned in Lake Quonnipaug Sunday afternoon after his kayak capsized has been identified as Rodrigo Tocto.
GUILFORD, CT — The 33-year-old Orange man who drowned in Lake Quonnipaug Sunday afternoon after his kayak capsized, has been identified as Rodrigo Tocto, according to the state, Department of Environmental Energy and Protection, WTNH reported.
The agency is still investigating, according to police.
According to local media, the man stood in the kayak to retrieve a lost paddle when the craft capsized.

Mutual aid was provided by Branford and Madison fire departments, South Fire District and DEEP.
The Guilford Fire Department Dive Team found the man, gave him CPR and then transported him to the hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to WFSB.
Rodrigo was not wearing a life vest, per reports.
