Know A SHEro? A Woman, Girl Who Inspires Others Through Her Actions?

GUILFORD, CT — What is a SHEro?

A woman or girl who inspires others through her actions. She is a person who leads with kindness, has a desire to help others and is someone who is making a positive change in herself or for others in a community. She could be your friend, neighbor, a teacher, healthcare worker or business owner. She can be anyone who is doing an example of the following:

• A SHEro is a woman or girl who inspires growth & change in herself or others. She is someone who has improved her own life or the lives of others by overcoming adversity, a crisis situation or who has gone above and beyond to help others during the COVID-19 pandemic.
• A SHEro is a woman or girl who is involved in her community, someone who is a volunteer, a pioneer of a program that created change or does something for others in the community.
• A SHEro is a woman or girl who is a trailblazer. She is someone who is a leader or innovator who has created change in a community or program.

The Women & Family Life Center is now accepting nominations for SHEro candidates until April 30, with an award ceremony planned for May.
