Latest ARPA Awards Given To 2 Guilford-Area Nonprofits

GUILFORD, CT — The Guilford Foundation in partnershop with the town recently gave two area nonprofits money through the federal American Rescue Plan Act.

According to a Facebook post from the town, $35,000 was given to APK Charities, and $26,000 was given to The Dudley Foundation/The Dudley Farm Museum.

Overall, The Guilford Foundation has allocated $1 million through ARPA to area nonprofits whose work and services impact the Guilford community. The money aims to provide relief to nonprofits as they continue to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.

APK Charities is a Connecticut nonprofit that honors and remembers the ultimate sacrifice made by Capt. Andrew Pedersen-Keel by raising awareness and support for active, retired, wounded and fallen warriors and their families.

The organization also provides financial aid and material assistance to charitable organizations and causes.

The Dudley Foundation operates out of Dudley Farm, a 19th century farm in North Guilford. Their ARPA award will be used for crucial infrastructure repairs that were postponed due to the pandemic, according to the Guilford Foundation.
