Meals-On-Wheels Not Delivering Monday, Tuesday

GUILFORD, CT — Due to the winter storm that's descended on the shoreline, and is expected to continue through Tuesday, Meals on Wheels will not be delivering meals either day. Weather permitting, it will begin deliveries again Wednesday.

Director Christi Burton said the planned-for Monday meal —BBQ chicken—was delivered Friday to those scheduled to receive the meal in anticipation of the storm.

"We hope to resume deliveries on Wednesday if it is safe for our volunteer drivers to be on the roads," Burton said. She said clients in need should call and leave a message at 203-453-8359. She said messages will be checked on a consistent basis.

And, medical equipment provider Charlie’s Closet is also closed with plans to reopen Wednesday at 9 a.m.
