Eastern Connecticut State University

Eastern's annual graduation ceremony was held at the XL Center in Hartford on May 15, with more than 12,000 family members and friends cheering on their sons and daughters, brothers and sisters, as 1,105 undergraduates and 85 graduate students received their diplomas.
Kristen Urban of Guilford, CT, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Communication.
Kathryn Jankura of Guilford, CT, graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English.
Kayla Rook of Guilford, CT, graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences.

SUNY Potsdam athlete Jonathan Venter named to SUNYAC Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll for 2017-18 season
Jonathan Venter, a resident of Guilford, Conn. was one of was one of 84 SUNY Potsdam student-athletes to earn a spot on the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll for the 2017-18 school year, the conference announced Tuesday, June 19. Venter is a freshman member of the SUNY Potsdam men's hockey team. Athletes named to the academic honor roll had a minimum 3.3 cumulative GPA for the year.

Muhlenberg College held its 170th baccalaureate and commencement ceremonies on May 17 and 18. A total of 519 degrees were awarded to 511 students, and 267 students in the Class of 2018 graduated with honors and distinctions.

Jon Venter of Guilford, CT was recently named to the President's List at The State University of New York at Potsdam.
Venter, whose major is Mathematics, was among 855 SUNY Potsdam students who were honored for academic excellence in the Spring 2018 semester. College President Dr. Kristin G. Esterberg recognized the students for earning top marks.

University of New Hampshire Announces May 2018 Graduates
The following students graduated from the University of New Hampshire in May 2018. Students who received the honor of summa cum laude graduated with a GPA of 3.85-4.0; students who received the honor of magna cum laude graduated with a GPA of 3.65-3.84; and students who received the honor of cum laude graduated with a GPA of 3.50-3.64. Students are only graduated after the Registrar's Office has certified that all degree requirements have been successfully completed. Participating in the commencement ceremony is the act of honoring and celebrating academic achievement.

Derek C. Dioguardi of Guilford was one of nearly 520 students who were awarded bachelor degrees from St. Lawrence University during Commencement ceremonies held on May 20 in Canton, New York.
Dioguardi is a member of the Class of 2018 and majored in economics and business in the liberal arts. Dioguardi received the degree of bachelor of arts. Dioguardi attended Guilford High School.
