Naples Pizza Thanks Town Workers, First Responders With 150 Pies
This was owner John Mazzarella and his family's way to thank town staffers and first responders who kept the town going during the pandemic.
GUILFORD, CT — Naples Pizza in Guilford has been a family-owned and operated restaurant since 1983. The pizzeria has been good to the town, obvious given it's been in business for 37 years. People know good pizza.
But Friday, owner John Mazzarella and wife Carol told town officials that because "this Town has been good to (us) for many years,” the pizzeria brought its pizza truck to Town Hall and, "to thank the first responders and the other employees who have kept town government running through the recent COVID-19 pandemic," baked them 150 pizzas.
Food is love, they say.
