GUILFORD, CT — After years of experience in the industry, Shoreline resident, Rich Cobb, has opened a modern dry cleaner in Guilford. Pressed and Dressed held their ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, April 10th, according to a news release.
Food and beverages from local Guilford businesses were provided. The store is open from 8:00 am to 6:30 pm Monday through Friday and from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturdays.
Months of research on customer’s needs and desired experiences have led to the creation of a dry cleaner unlike any other in Connecticut. The store’s modern design features bright lights, music, dressing rooms, and sleek point of sales computers. Staff, known as consultants, not cashiers, are prepared to help customers by providing knowledge on how the store will handle garment cleaning or alterations. They can also fit customers for a tuxedo or suit rental while giving advice on which rentals customers would look best in.

Founder and CEO, Rich Cobb, said, “Dry cleaning is about more than just cleaning, it’s about helping customers look and feel their best, which is what our expertise is. Perhaps you need a tuxedo to look your best for a special occasion or maybe we can help repair your favorite old sweater that you feel great in.”
Pressed and Dressed also plans to launch an online portal for customers to access their dry cleaning orders and communicate with the store.
