New Division Within Guilford Interfaith Volunteers Aims To Help Children And Families In Need
The initiative aims to support children and families in need of pediatric durable medical equipment.

GUILFORD, CT — Chloe's Closet, a new division within Guilford Interfaith Volunteers, launched last month with a mission to support children and families in need of pediatric durable medical equipment.
The division was established to honor Chloe, the daughter of Rennie and David Negron, who died in 2025 from Tay-Sachs disease, a rare genetic disorder.
"During Chloe's life, the Negron family experienced firsthand how difficult it can be to find - and afford - the specialized medical equipment children often require. They also saw how quickly families can become overwhelmed when navigating the emotional, logistical, and financial challenges that come with serious pediatric illness," the Guilford Interfaith Volunteers website says.

The program is designed to ensure that no family goes without essential resources due to financial or logistical challenges.
"We will be emulating the successful structure of Charlie’s Closet, our medical equipment division, which has distributed equipment throughout the state of Connecticut since 1998 and has grown into an invaluable resource for those in need," said Chloe's Closet Co-Chairs Christi Burton and Tony Sicignano. Burton is also the executive director of Guilford Interfaith Volunteers.

Burton and Sicignano said the approach of Chloe's Closet will be simple.
An inventory of available durable pediatric medical equipment will be maintained on the Chloe's Closet website.
Designated hours of operation will be Wednesday and Friday afternoons from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. by appointment, with continued response to needs as they arise beyond those set times.
Families are also able to donate equipment their child no longer needs to benefit other children.
More information on how to request or donate equipment can be found online at this link.
