A beloved mother and grandmother, she loved gardening, scrapbooking, art, woodworking, doll-making and being a seamstress.

Alberta T. Cole, 75, of Guilford, passed away peacefully January 18, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of the late James E. Cole.

Alberta was born in New Haven, June 14th, 1946 to the late Albert and Mary Santamauro Scala. She loved gardening, scrapbooking, art, woodworking, dollmaking and being a seamstress.

Alberta is survived by her children: Patricia Haggerty of Milford, James (Donna) Cole of Killingworth, Robert (Allison) Cole of Avon, and William (Cheryl) Cole of Branford; grandchildren: Thomas (Lexi) and Jillian Haggerty, Michela, William, Kennedy and Sophia Cole; her dogs and true loves: Jake and Jesse and many nieces and nephews.

Alberta was predeceased by her brother Richard Scala and sister Elizabeth Schmitt.

Relatives and friends may visit WEDNESDAY January 26th from 9:00-11:00 AM at East Haven Memorial Funeral Home, 425 Main Street, East Haven followed by urn burial in All Saints Cemetery.
