Obituary: Anna Salomine Conte (DeVellis), age 90, of Guilford

Anna Salomine Conte (DeVellis), age 90, of Guilford, CT and formerly of Bridgeport, CT and Seminole, Florida passed away unexpectedly on June 27, 2022 at Yale New Haven Hospital with family by her side.

Born March 26, 1932 in Bedford Hills, New York, she was the daughter of the late Romolo and Frances DeVellis and was predeceased by her brother Roland DeVellis. Beloved wife of sixty-two years to the late Joseph Santo Conte, she is survived by her three children: Sheila (Joseph) Roberti; Gary (Sue) Conte; and Joseph (Tina) Conte; her four grandchildren: Sara Roberti (Jonathan Neu); Captain Philip (Amy) Conte; John Conte (fiancé Caitlin Wolsey); and Michael Conte; and her sister Grace Terentieff.

While living in Bridgeport, Anna worked in retail management, having a flair for fashion. She was remembered by all for being feisty, friendly, and devoted to family.

Relatives and friends may attend a visitation Saturday morning from 8:15-9:15 at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. George Church, 33 Whitfield Street, Guilford, at 10:00. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
