Obituary: Dominic J. Caciopoli, 79, longtime Guilford resident

Kind and loyal and an attorney who worked tirelessly for clients for 40 years, he was an ardent fan of UCONN men's and women's basketball.

Dominic J. Caciopoli longtime resident of Guilford and most recently of Punta Gorda, Florida passed away at Tampa General Hospital, Tampa, Florida, on November 20.

Husband of the late Andrea (Barton) Caciopoli. Dominic was born in New Haven, Connecticut, on Dec. 4, 1941, son of the late Salvatore Caciopoli and Evelyn (Small) Caciopoli. Dominic was also survived by his extended family of his siblings, nieces and nephews, cousins and good friends.

Dominic graduated from Bridgeport University and earned his law degree from the University of Connecticut. He practiced law, with a specialty in construction law for over forty years. He was a brilliant law student and attorney who worked diligently and tirelessly for his clients. He was kind, and loyal and generous with his friends. He was an ardent fan of UCONN men’s and women’s basketball, He loved good food and late-night meals with friends.
