Obituary: Kathleen B. Magness, 69, of Guilford

Kathleen B. Magness, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Kathy was born in Maryland to John and Juanita Gerken on June 19, 1951. Kathy died peacefully at Connecticut Hospice August 5, 2020 after a long courageous battle with cancer.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Clark S. Magness. She is survived by two children;her daughter Stacy M. Iassongo and her husband Matthew of Georgia and her son John C. Magness of North Carolina, three grandchildren, Angela Rowe, Matthew Iassonga Jr and Diana Iassonga; two sisters, Christine Lefferts and her husband Harry of Florida, Betty Anne Kuester and her husband Mark of Maine, and a special friend Jan Saunders of Westbrook, CT.

Kathy graduated from the Guilford High school where she was voted "most artistic" and Paier College or Art. She was an accomplished artist and gardener, active member of Bethel Assembly of God Church and the Guilford Lakes Association. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.

Memorial services will be held privately.
