Obituary: Martin James Lombard, 89, longtime Guilford resident

A US Navy Korean War veteran, he owned and operated Cutting Edge Hair Salon​, was a longtime Lions Club of Guilford member.

Saturday, August 20, 2022 Martin James Lombardi longtime resident of Guilford passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Husband of Suzanne (Diglio) Lombardi. Mr. Lombardi was born In New Haven on August 30, 1932, son of the late Michael and Mary (Dramesi) Lombardi. Father of Michael Lombardi and his wife Andrea Franko of Killingworth, Lisa Colasante and her husband Jeff of Middlebury. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Stephanie Parchem, John Colasante and Melissa Colasante and a great grandson, Jackson Parchem. Predeceased by three brothers, John, Michael and Robert Lombardi and a sister, Patricia Semich.

He proudly served his country during the Korean War in the US Navy. Before retirement, Martin owned and operated The Cutting Edge Hair Salon. He was also a long time member of Lions Club of Guilford. He enjoyed working on his '61 Willy's Jeep and spending time with his family.

He was buried, with Military Honors, in St. George Cemetery.
