Obituary: Richard Williams, 79, longtime Guilford resident

Richard Williams longtime resident of Guilford passed away peacefully on Wednesday December 7, 2002. Husband of Debra (Bodin) Williams. Richard was born on January 26, 1943 in Bridgeport CT. Son of the late David and Pauline Williams. Father of David Williams of Southbury CT, Jason Williams and his partner Heidi Schoenfeldt of Madison CT and Jennifer Doman and her husband Michael of Madison, CT. Brother of Frank Williams and his wife Carmen of Melbourne, FL and the Late Joan Carroll. Also survived by three Grandchildren, Joshua Williams, Monica Gregoretti and Dominick Gregoretti and four nieces, Susan Carroll-Dwyer, Tammy Williams, Darlene Williams, and the late Leslie Angus.

Richard served in the Army Corps of Engineers from 1962 -1965. Before retirement, Richard was a long-time employee of Bic Pen in Milford, CT. He was the Vice President of Global Manufacturing which entailed traveling all over the world. Richard was an avid hunter and fly fisherman, a hobby he shared with his Wife and Son’s. He was also a talented carpenter who build everything from a deck off his own home to an elaborate tree house for his Grandchildren.

Relatives and Friends are invited to a visiting hour Monday December 12th from 5-8 PM at The Guilford Funeral Home 115 Church St, Guilford, CT. A service will be held on Tuesday December 13th at 10:30 AM at The Guilford Funeral Home with a burial to follow In Nut Plains Cemetery, 420 Nut Plains Rd, Guilford.
