A four-decade USPS employee, Robert enjoyed reading, Broadway musicals, genealogy research and volunteering at Christ Chapel in Madison.
Robert Douglas Jr., 69, of Guilford passed away unexpectedly at home on December 8, 2020. He was born April 26, 1951 in New Haven to Robert Sr. and Audrey (Smallman) Douglas. Robert is survived by his loving nieces/nephews: KellyJean O’Brien, Joseph Marcarelli, Danilaura Marcarelli, Brian Braley, Amie Douglas, Tiffanie Dewick (Jonathan), Samantha Douglas and Timothy Douglas. He is also survived by great nephews/nieces: Joshua Dewick, Brian Potts and Arianna Braley, Audrianna Marcarelli and a sister-in-law, Deborah (Braley) Douglas of East Haven. Robert is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Michael Douglas (2019) and a sister, Lesley O’Brien.
Robert was a US Postal employee for over 40 years. Robert loved to read, go to Broadway musicals and research his family genealogy. He enjoyed volunteering at the daycare of his church, Christ Chapel in Madison.

Robert was loved by all; he will be dearly missed by all his nieces, nephews, family and friends.
