Obituary: Ruth M. (DeSenti) Welch, 92, of Guilford

Saturday, September 18, 2021 Ruth M. (DeSenti) Welch long resident of Guilford passed away peacefully at Guilford House. Loving wife of the late Robert W. Welch. Ruth was born in New Haven on Feb. 4, 1929 daughter of the late Louis DeSenti and Martha (Klein) DeSenti.Ruth is survived by her extended family of God children and their families; Peter (Rose) Ciardiello of Guilford and Richard (Lyssette) Ciardiello of Guilford; several nieces and many close friends. She is also predeceased by a brother William DeSenti.

Ruth received her bachelor’s degree from Albertus Magnus College. She worked as a real estate agent for over 30 years for various agencies, including H. Pearce Realty, Sotheby’s and Coldwell Banker. She enjoyed crocheting scarfs, handbags and blankets for family and friends. Ruth also enjoyed her casino trips with her husband Bob and their friends.

Friends are invited to calling hours on Wednesday, Sept. 29 from 9:30 – 10:30 at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St, Guilford, followed with a burial service at 11 am in St. Lawrence Cemetery, 280 Derby Ave, West Haven.
