Obituary: Vincent A. Santamauro, 76, Formerly of Guilford
Vincent, who served in the CT National Guard, had a career at Pratt-Whitney and Southern New England Telephone. He retired to Stuart, FL.

Stuart, FL and formerly of Guilford, CT. Vincent A. Santamauro succumbed to a brief illness on July 8, 2020 at the age of 76. He was the beloved husband of Sally (Rosetti) Santamauro with whom he shared a happy life for over 45 years. Born in New Haven and a longtime resident of Guilford, Vinnie graduated with top honors from Eli Whitney Technical High School and Connecticut School of Electronic where he graduated with the second highest grade point average in his class. After graduation, he began his technical career at Pratt-Whitney and spent many years as a manager at Southern New England Telephone (SNET) from which he retired. He served in the Connecticut National Guard for six years and trained in Fort Dix, New Jersey. After retiring, he moved to Stuart, Florida. He was elected to the Board of Directors for his homeowner association where all would agree that he was a respected, kind, fun-loving, and generous man who always had the best interest of his community at heart and was always willing to help.
Vinnie was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Elizabeth (Serio) Santamauro. In addition to his wife, Vinnie is survived by his brother Anthony and his wife Susan Santamauro, his sister Anita and her husband Bill Schmidt, and his sister Jacqueline and her husband Roy Christoferson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and grand-nephews and grand-nieces. A memorial service will be held in Connecticut sometime in the future.
